Hi, I'm Myers!
Some people call me Meers.
It's so nice to meet you!
Meers Weddings + Events got its name from my longest and best friend. She has called me “Meers” since before I can remember. It was the only nickname I liked as a kid and one that was reserved for her and her alone. Being such a vital part of your best day ever allows a special kind of friendship. This nickname seemed to be the perfect way to open the door to a friendship so that we can begin to create your happiest, most personalized event.

A Little More About Me
Hey friends! My name is Myers Stewart and I am the brains behind this whole operation. I got my start into the wedding industry at age 11 as a bridesmaid. Since then, I have been a bridesmaid or maid of honor TEN more times, and I have the dresses to prove it. I actually hate being in front of people so coordinating the behind the scenes of a wedding or event has become my favorite way to be a part of the special occasion. I began my career in corporate events planning gourmet dinners and large conferences but have a special place in my heart for weddings. No matter the event, I love helping create someone’s best day ever and ensuring it is executed well.
A little more about me is that I am a planner through and through (no surprise here). My favorite school supply growing up was my agenda, and I did not take the decision of picking it out lightly. I still use a paper planner today and personally don’t think I will ever switch. As an enneagram 9, I am a supporter, a people pleaser, and very conscientious. Some close friends say I have a wing 1 which is known for being highly motivated and desiring for things to be done “correctly.” Others see me with a wing 8 which is known for being assertive and adaptable. I’d like to believe I have a little of both :).
When I’m not doing weddings or events, I like to keep myself pretty busy. I truly love all things sports. I coach varsity swimming at a high school, play volleyball weekly, am currently working on my golf game, and either watching baseball or football depending on the season. Outside of that, I can be found reading or cuddling my 70 pound “baby-dog,” Ruby.
